Music and lessons

Hi!  I’m Kris Harris. For the past two years, I have worked at a violin shop, while teaching private violin and viola lessons and performing.  I’ve been growing my teaching studio by supporting customers, recommending quality instruments, and building connections in the music community. I’ve also been expanding my performance opportunities through collaborations with my colleagues and staying active as a player.
 
I originally took the job at the violin shop because I’ve had a longstanding interest in violin crafting and repair. I wanted hands-on experience to better understand the instrument - not just as a musician, but as a future luthier. My goal is to help students find the best possible tools for learning while continuing to refine my own skills through a deeper knowledge of the instrument’s construction.
